10-20-17 TWELVE STEPPING WITH SUPPORT FROM SCRIPTURE

Psalm 41 v 6 - They visit me as if they are my friends, but all the while they gather gossip, and when they leave they spread it everywhere

Step 5.Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

Make sure you really know the people in your Homegroup. Five meetings or more is certainly not enough time to lay it all out on the table. Get a sponsor and get to know them. It's vital to get the junk out but some people don't know the meaning of the word anonymous. God is truly the only one you can trust! Find a quiet private place and pour it all out to Him.Early recovery is painful and most people are just mean and knocking you down brings them power and pleasure. Ask about your Sponsor choice and be sure they can be trusted with your deepest darkest secrets. Exposing that stuff removes its power to control you.

Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
