10-18-17 TWELVE STEPPING WITH SUPPORT FROM SCRIPTURE
Psalm 39v11-My loved ones and friends stay away, fearing my disease.Even my own family stands at a distance.
Step 2 -Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
Addiction has an intentional and deliberate plan to get you alone and then isolated. Once in isolation addiction sucks every ounce of love joy and hope out of you. Desperation moves in and we will do things we never thought we would do, that includes lying, stealing and hurting the only people in the world who care for us more than life itself. They distance themselves for self-preservation hiding under the disguise of enabling. We cannot hold it against them because that just adds to the insanity of our own lives. Never stop loving them and if at all possible leave them alone until you find God and find freedom! Scripture teaches us Love tears down all strongholds. Loved ones of those struggling, Love them unconditionally without feeding the addiction. They need you whether you realize that or not. Forget and forgive what they have done no matter how much it hurts. They are weak, broken and lost so you must be there Lighthouse in the storm. Jesus Christ loved and forgave the very people who beat Him and then murdered Him. Right now your loved one is trapped in a self-made prison that has doors that are unlocked they just can't find them. Be patient pray constantly never give up and never lose hope.Your day their day will come!
Proverbs 17:17 -Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs.
