The Day Every Spirit Went To One City

This Saturday: Free Contemplating Recovery Virtual Support Groups

Saturday May 2nd 9:30 am & 12:30 pm

BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ is proud to offer a free support group for those contemplating some form of treatment for concerns related to eating, food and body image.

The group provides a supportive forum within which members can explore issues including ambivalence about engaging in treatment, recovery, resources and treatment options and knowing when and how to take the next steps towards making change.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all Contemplating Recovery Groups will occur virtually. We are also increasing the amount of Contemplating Recovery groups we are offering each month to provide support to those who may be struggling during this time.

The group is open to individuals seeking help and to family and loved ones.

Our upcoming groups are as follows:
May 2nd, 9:30 am & 12:30 pm with BALANCE Admissions Director Danielle Levitine & Admissions Coordinator Tamar Lichtman

COVID-19 Photo of the Week

Dear Friends,

Saturday evening, Melinda and the staff still quarantined inside the building held a worship service on the top level of the parking deck, where the Lovelady Gardens are located. At the close of the service, horns and yelling and even a police siren from Birmingham PD could be heard on the street behind the parking deck. Melinda encouraged the women to go see what all the commotion was about.

There on the street, holding signs and yelling words of encouragement, were the staff who had not been in the building for almost forty days, as well as myself, our Campus Pastor Lestley Drake and Board Chairman/COO John McNeil. It was a very moving experience for the women and children peering over, surprised and elated to see us all there. However, I believe all of us below on the street were moved even more than them.

God-moments like this fill me with love.

I just wanted to share this with all of you and thank you for your generosity during this hard time. So many of you have donated and it is so appreciated. We certainly need it right now.

Prayers for you and yours. Please continue to pray for us and please remember us next week, May 5th, on #GivingTuesdayNow!

In His Service,

Brenda Lovelady Spahn
