TWELVE STEPPING WITH STRENGTH FROM SCRIPTURE

Psalm 38 - 4 My guilt overwhelms me--it is a burden too heavy to bear. (GODS BIG BOOK)

STEP 5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. (AA Big Book)

When your ready to be truly free of self !
Guilt is a poison along with regret and fear . These three
compadres will keep peace , love , and joy from entering your heart. Self medicating is only numbing them and they are not going anywhere . Step Five is essential and must be completed with honesty ! Their is no faking this one.We are only sick as our secrets!Guilt will steal your Life and put you in an early Grave !

1 John 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong.

Kaveh Akbar Maps Unprecedented Experience in 'Portrait of the Alcoholic' | The Fix

Kaveh Akbar Maps Unprecedented Experience in 'Portrait of the Alcoholic' | The Fix: 'I am a Muslim Iranian-American poet who is also an alcoholic-addict. So to not acknowledge every facet of that experience in the writing would be to willfully partition myself off from the work.'

Another Round: The Link Between Alcoholism and Trauma | The Fix: I’m not proud of what I did, but every shred of me felt helpless, like the men I’d chosen to rescue me from my bruised and battered past were fixing to betray me.

5 Ways I Stay Sober Without AA | The Fix

5 Ways I Stay Sober Without AA | The Fix: There are many ways to recover from alcoholism without 12-step programs. Here's how it's worked for me.

The Semicolon Project is a faith-based movement “dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who are struggling with depression, suicide, and addiction."
Sadly, Amy Bleuel, the lady who started this project, passed away last month. In honor of her efforts, and to remind all of us that our story really isn't over...our version of the SemiColon, with two hearts, one for us and one for our children.
When you purchase a TAM shirt all proceeds go directly to our non-profit organization and the funds are used for special projects, spreading awareness and in support of all of the groups that support our members for printing costs, banners etc. for our members who do events and rallies. At last count we have over 82,000 members in all 65 groups combined.
We have some very exciting projects coming up that I'm not at liberty to share yet. Thank you for supporting our efforts at Sharing Without Shame and ending the stigma of addiction.
This shirt is available in women's short sleeves, unisex, long sleeves and a hoodie.

(2 CT/1 MT/12 PT)

There is a clear evidence that individuals in treatment for substance use disorders are at high risk for gambling and that unidentified gambling problems contributes to increased treatment costs and decreased treatment effectiveness. However, standard screening techniques have been largely ineffective in clinical settings. This presentation will focus on effective strategies for screening for gambling problems and initiating the conversation regarding the impact of gambling and problem gambling on recovery, health and wellbeing.
