TWELVE STEPPING WITH SUPPORT FROM SCRIPTURE
Psalm 106 v 43 - Again and Again He rescued them, but they chose to rebel against Him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin (addiction)
Step 3: Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
Addiction and rebellion are a choice! Now don't get your underwear in a ruffle and start yelling it is a disease and I can't help myself. Before every relapse is very deep thought about should I or shouldn't I! In the beginning phases of addiction, we do lose control and it appears we have lost all ability to make right choices. Getting clean and finding sanity brings clarity. The haze caused by addiction clears and we begin to realize we are tired and we don't want to die this way making a relapse a clear cut choice! We are all gonna die but wouldn't it be nice not die in the lie! God has a plan and it does not include you dying of an accidental overdose or long term drug abuse. God will never leave or forsake! Don't give up on yourself keep trying and make up your mind your done with addiction for good.
