Advocacy Alert: Tell Your Senators to Vote NO on the Graham-Cassidy Bill
|
The U.S. Senate is again considering a bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Dubbed the "Graham-Cassidy Bill," after its sponsors, Lindsay Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA), the new bill is gaining momentum and the Senate could vote on it as early as next week. We need your voice and your activism TODAY!
NAADAC joined over 450 addiction and mental health organizations in signing an updated letter to Senate leadership addressing serious concerns with how the Senate health care bill will affect the millions of Americans suffering from substance use disorders and mental illnesses who may lose their health coverage entirely or see reductions in benefits that impede access to needed care.
The Graham-Cassidy Bill would:
- End guaranteed coverage of substance use disorders and mental health treatment services; and
- Cut Medicaid, a critical lifeline for millions of Americans with substance use disorders and mental illness.
Please call the U.S. Capitol directly at 202-224-3121 to be connected to your Senators to urge a NO vote on the Graham-Cassidy bill. Click here to find your Senators.
