Overdose Awareness Day 2017
Today marks International Overdose Awareness Day, so let’s do our part to prevent more loss and suffering.
The overdose numbers keep climbing. Every day, we lose 144 people to an accidental drug overdose. One place to start to build awareness to reverse this trend is through social media.
We have assembled an easy and downloadable toolkit with sample posts to share. These include posts on the overdose reversal drug, naloxone; one on recognizing the signs of overdose; and others citing statistics that can help drive awareness and action.

Shop IGA This Labor Day and Support Families
We are excited to announce that we’ve collaborated with IGA USA as part of their first-ever IGA Cares initiative — a national campaign which began on August 1st. IGA is the world’s largest voluntary supermarket network and includes nearly 5,000 Hometown Proud Supermarkets worldwide with stores across 46 states in the U.S. Through in-store fundraising activities, the sales of specially marked IGA Exclusive Brand products — including Labor Day essentials like hot dog buns and ice cream — and an in-store pin-up promotion that will run in stores from mid-August through October, IGA will help spread the word about how families can get help at IGA Better Choices.
