His past positions include providing clinical services to his home region at Eastern Aleutian Tribes, serving at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium as Senior Director of Community Health Services, and serving as the CEO at the Rural Alaska Community Action Program. Ferguson has served on over 15 different state and national committees, including a past leadership position in The Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He also currently serves as Chair of the American Indian Cancer Foundation and Co-chair of the Aleut Foundation.
