It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way. 10 For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. Pain and sorrow were designed to bring about change. In a sense we have to be broken down of old self and rebuilt into a new self. Pain and sorrow come in many forms and if we shut down because of it we will stop growing and eventually succumb to our self medicating ways and suffer spiritual death. God is the only one who can take sorrow and pain and use it to change you from broken to fixed. Self medicating to drown the sorrow or stop the pain never works and only makes life worse. God has a plan,sorrow and pain were designed to bring you surrendered to the cross where you need to be ! At that Cross Gods Son Jesus Christ experienced more pain then we could ever imagine. God and His son did all that so you wouldn't have to!
