Caron in PA Achieves ASAM Level of Care Certification We are happy to share that Caron Treatment Centers's facility in Pennsylvania has been named as one of seven addiction treatment programs to achieve the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Level of Care certification following the successful completion of Phase One of the pilot. Starting this summer, thirty more treatment providers will be evaluated. “We were honored to be part of Phase One of the ASAM pilot and to receive ASAM Level of Care certification. This provides our patients, families and referring professionals with the peace of mind and increased trust that they deserve when sending loved ones and clients into our care,” said Dr. Joseph Garbely, DFASAM, Vice President of Medical Services, Medical Director, and Addiction Medicine Fellowship Director at Caron Pennsylvania. “This certification is a profound step forward toward standardizing best practices among substance use treatment providers.” CARF awards the ASAM Level of Care certification to addiction treatment programs that demonstrate the capacity to deliver services consistent with a specific Level of Care described in The ASAM Criteria. The certification helps patients, families and loved ones identify treatment programs that are capable of delivering evidence-based care.
