Description: In today’s society, it is normal to enjoy social gaming. Whether for excitement, escape, or a way to test one’s skill, many find it to be an enjoyable activity to stay connected with others. This workshop will identify the background and connection between social games, eSports, and internet gambling while addressing the issues and establishing principles of meaningful recovery.

Guiding Clients in Self-Awareness for Authentic Identity Management

Wednesday, May 22, 2019 @ 3:00-4:00pm ET (2CT/1MT/12PT)
Description: Self-assessment provides the gateway for understanding our various characteristics, skills, challenges, and goals. As one creates his or her assessment of self, he or she gains fundamental building blocks for constructing their brand, offering sustainable and uniquely authentic articulation of self. This strategy for learning and acknowledging ones’ true self offers exciting opportunities for establishing continuity across the various roles persons in recovery must navigate. This webinar will examine how counselors can assist persons in recovery in building an authentic brand statement. The simple outcome of the naming of one’s own brand can provide a sustainable guide in taking healthy ownership of one’s recovery program.

Karyl Sabbath, PhD, LIDC, LAC, Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor, Family Leader (FLTI), taught for 21 years at Otterbein University and retired with emeritus status in 2010.
