Job Opening: NCC AP Testing/Certification Coordinator

NAADAC is looking for a new National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP) Testing/Certification Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to NCC AP’s Testing Program Manager and Certification Senior Manager.

This full-time position will work in a team environment with NAADAC staff and the NCC AP Commission.
The NCC AP, under the auspices of NAADAC, operates as an independent body for all matters involving NAADAC’s substance use disorders counselor certification and endorsement opportunities at the national and international level.

Last Chance for the William White Scholarship

Are you a student looking for ways to gain recognition in your field and ease your tuition burden?

The William White Student Scholarship was created to promote student addiction studies research and develop the importance of student research projects in NASAC accredited programs, NAADAC approved programs in higher education, or an accredited addiction studies higher education program acknowledged by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) that provides research or education to the addiction profession.

Submission deadline: Friday, May 31, 2019.

The William White Student Scholarship will be awarded to one graduate NAADAC student member and one undergraduate NAADAC student member based on addiction research papers focusing on the assigned topics outlined on naadac.org/white-scholarship and applied directly to the students' educational debt.

Many people in recovery from addiction are unaware of their civil rights under the ADA. The New England ADA Center's' goal is to ensure that people with addiction and those in recovery know their rights under the law.

The 2019 Nebraska Trainingwill take place on June 28, 2019, at Bellevue University - Lozier Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Hosted by NAADAC and NAADAC Nebraska, the one-day training will feature Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP and musician John McAndrew presenting Music and Romancing the Brain. Moreno Tuohy and McAndrew will be joined by special guest Sheri Dawson, RN, BS, from the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services Division of Behavioral Health.
