Enrolling clients now in our IOP for eating disorders that begins May 13th. Tickets for the 6th Annual Community Awards Breakfast on sale. Accreditation news and we've added another in-network provider to our list.
Since opening our co-occurring eating disorder and addiction residential treatment program last fall, we've seen the need for expanded services for women struggling with eating disorders in the state. Currently, there are only 4 providers in the state offering intensive outpatient treatment programs for these clients. We created the clinical programming for this group to meet the needs of clients who are medically stable, but still require structure and support around their eating practices and relationships with food. Guided by an experienced master's level clinician, registered dietitian and a psychiatrist, clients will engage in medical nutritional therapy as well as group sessions using DBT, CBT, and ACT approaches. They are able to continue building bonds with other women in the program in a safe space where they can explore any obstacles they have faced and celebrate achievements. Tickets are still available for the 6th Annual Community Awards Breakfast, so don't delay! We have earned another 3-year accreditation from CARF and we are now in-network with Tufts Health Plan.
IOP for Eating Disorders

Beginning Monday May 13th we will be offering clients ages 18 and up access to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for eating disorders Monday - Friday from 10am - 1pm. This program is a wonderful aftercare program for women stepping down from residential level of care or for women in need of support and structure for their disordered eating. This is an outpatient program facilitated by a master's level clinician with consultation from a registered dietitian and a psychiatrist. To enroll or learn more about this program, please call intake at 207.773.9931 or email.

Accreditation News

We learned earlier this month that we've earned our second 3-year CARF accreditation for all of our programs and services. Since 2016 Crossroads has been accredited by this international accrediting body at its highest level and this year's survey results documented exactly why we earned this award again.

Excerpts from the surveyor's report from March 2019
Areas of strength
  • Crossroads operates with an elevated level of transparency and communication exchange to clarify clinical care issues. Teamwork and cooperation are evident throughout the organization's fabric. There is a keen sense of teamwork and integration between clinical and administrative staff members that results in more consistent experiences for the clients served.
  • Crossroads has been serving clients for decades. The organization is recognized for its positive reputation for quality services and for effectively serving women in need throughout the region.
  • At Crossroads, treatment modalities include evidence-based treatment and therapies that aim to awaken or spark a previous interest or a new activity and teach fun in sober living. An example is the art and music therapies where art and music are used with the clients to facilitate expression of their feelings.
  • Crossroads is a respected and family like organization that demonstrates the same caring support for its personnel as it does for its clients who have experienced traumatic events.
  • Staff members are knowledgeable, well trained, and deeply committed to helping the clients achieve success. The clients consistently report that they trust staff members and that the staff members help them reach their goals.

Tufts Health Plan added to our in-network providers list

We are now in-network with Tufts Health Plan for both our outpatient and residential treatment services. Increasingly we hear from our clients how grateful they are to be able to access our treatment services without having to pay out-of-network fees. Crossroads is in-network with the following insurance carries.
