SBIRT Training: February 22 On February 22, Metro Drug Coalition will be hosting an SBIRT Training. This training will equip providers, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents and office managers to: understand the disease process of addiction, recognize the risk factors and causes of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, understand the process of SBIRT (an evidence-based screening tool) to assess risk for substance abuse in patients, and learn ways to implement and administer brief interventions.
