January 24, 2019 Through The Twelve Steps With Spiritual Support From Scripture TODAY STEP 6

STEP 6. We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.


Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10




Discouragement can be very destructive to your recovery. It can paralyze you leaving you unable to move forward. It eats away at you like a cancer and if not dealt with can put you in relapse mode. Words at times cannot express just how it makes you feel.God is the only one who can liberate you from the emotional bars of your mind. Unfortunately it will be a character defect that will visit often but you can never give up and let it crush you to the point of self medicating. As soon as it is recognized ,hit your knees and pray to God to lift you up.



Isaiah 42:16 And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.
