January 22, 2019 Through The Twelve Steps With Spiritual Truth From Scripture TODAY STEP 6

Psalm 36 v 3- The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good.


Tell the truth even if it hurts ! Sugar coating is still lying ! People will not make changes if you continue to tell them what you think they want to hear. Lying ruins your character and once you have developed a career out of lying people will be able to see right through you. No one will take you seriously and no matter what you try to do to change their minds it wont happen. This is going to be a tough character defect to beat but it can be done with Gods help. When you lie enough it becomes as simple as breathing so first you need to recognize you have a problem and that lying is not ok just because everyone else does it. Second before you speak bite your tongue to make you think before you kick that destructive little member into gear. Before you speak to others especially your loved ones say a little prayer asking the Holy Spirit to watch your tongue and let the truth come out. In this day and age telling the truth in all situations will earn you a reward in Heaven and make you a super hero on earth .We all want to be accepted, respected and trusted getting your tongue under control is the number one way to get there.
Colossians 3 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
