Gregory Lenoir Allman - Dec 8, 1947 - May 27, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Gregg Allman, a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band, passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia over the weekend.
Gregg struggled with many health issues over the past several years. During that time, Gregg considered being on the road playing music with his brothers and solo band for his beloved fans, essential medicine for his soul. Playing music lifted him up and kept him going during the toughest of times. Read more about the remarkable legacy of Gregg Allman @  "Legacy"

"I'm feeling very sad about the news of Gregg Allman's passing. He will truly be missed. Now he lives on through 50 years of great music that by the grace of God, we will all continue to enjoy for a lifetime of generations. "Soulshine" by the  Allman Brothers Band was part of my morning meditation for years. Thank you Gregg for helping me have my Soulshine." RIR- Radio Host & Co-Founder, John Hollis.

The family suggests that tributes to Gregg can be made to the Gregg Allman Scholarship Fund at The University of Georgia or the Allman/Lehman Endowed Scholarship at Syracuse University
