Do you want to present at the NAADAC 2019 Annual Conference? NAADAC members and non-members are invited to submit a presentation proposal by Tuesday, January 15, 2019 for a 1.5 hour breakout session pertaining to current and relevant information on one of these nine topics:

Announcing the Northwest Regional Conference

NAADAC and its Northwest affiliates are excited to announce the Northwest Regional Conference: Embracing the Future, a three-day conference from June 13 - June 15, 2019 at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront in Portland OR. NAADAC Welcomes New Exhibits & Ad Sales Manager
|
NAADAC is excited to welcome Irina Vayner, MS, as its new Exhibits & Ad Sales Manager. In this position, Vayner will manage all digital and print advertisement sales, as well as exhibits & sponsorships for the annual, regional, and state conferences and trainings.
Vayner joined NAADAC in November 2018. Prior to her time at NAADAC, Vayner worked as a Development Manager for the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Vayner holds a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from American University.

New Dates Announced for the 2019 Advocacy in Action Conference
|
NAADAC’s 2019 Advocacy in Action Conference in Washington, D.C. will take place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 with a Hill Day on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Attend briefings on legislation, national budget, and advocacy issues, and receive training for visits to the Hill on April 10 and attend meetings on Capitol Hill on April 11.

2019 National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Programs
|
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) is seeking clinicians, including behavioral and mental health professionals, who want to serve the nation’s underserved rural, urban, and tribal communities to participate in its Loan Repayment Program.
The NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP) offers licensed primary care clinicians in eligible disciplines the opportunity to receive loan repayment up to $50,000. In exchange, participants serve for at least two years at an NHSC-approved site in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).
NAADAC has advocated for the inclusion of addiction professionals in the NHSC LRP for over a decade, and is happy to announce that a broader pool of eligible disciplines and specialties, including substance use disorder counselors, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants who are eligible to administer MAT, behavioral health professionals, registered nurses, and pharmacists, now qualify for the program.
