Today's NAADAC Specialty Online Training Series Webinar - Clinical Supervision in the Addiction Profession Part Four: Stages of Clinical Supervision

Join presenter Thomas Durham, PhD, for this installment of a NAADAC Specialty Online Training Series that will explore three levels of counselor development while integrating characteristics of the Integrated Developmental Model of supervision.

This webinar is part four of a six-part specialty training series entitled Clinical Supervision in the Addiction Profession.

Part five of this six-part specialty training series, How to Structure Clinical Supervision, will take place this Friday, December 13, 2019 at 12:00-1:00 ET (11CT/10MT/9PT). NAADAC Executive Director Cynthia Moreno-Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP, and NAADAC Director of Training & Professional Development Samson Teklemariam, MA, LPC, CPTM, will examine the difference between a structured and unstructured supervisory relationship and provide resources commonly used to maintain structure in clinical supervision.

Those who successfully attend the full webinar series and pass all six CE quizzes for this six-part series will be eligible to apply for the Certificate of Achievement for Clinical Supervision in the Addiction Profession.
Each webinar is worth 1 CE and costs $25. After participating in the webinars, you must pass the corresponding online CE quiz to obtain your CEs.

The Deadline for the 2020 Minority Fellowship Program for Addiction Counselors Is Sunday!

Are you or someone you know working towards a Master's degree in the addiction field & committed to working with underserved populations?

The 2020 application period for the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program for Addictions Counselors (NBCC MFP-AC) will be drawing to a close this Sunday, December 15, 2019.

This program is made possible by a grant awarded to the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Foundation, in collaboration with NAADAC, by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program will administer up to 40 Master’s degree-level counseling fellowships of $15,000 for addictions counseling students, plus the travel expenses to participate in other program-related trainings.

Deadline: Sunday, December 15, 2019

Connect with addiction and mental health professionals in Greece on the NAADAC and National Council for Behavioral Health (NCBH) delegation from March 7-13, 2020.

Led by NAADAC Executive Director Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, BSW, NCAC II, CDC III, SAP, and Charles Ingolia, MSW, President and CEO of the NCBH, this World Learning program will give you a unique opportunity to learn about the state of addiction and mental health programs in the Mediterranean region of Europe. Earn up to 15 CEs!

Professional visits will focus on topics such as:
  • Epidemiology of mental health and substance use disorders in Greece;

Addiction Medicine Fellowship (AMF) Program Notice of Funding Opportunity

The Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Addiction Medicine Fellowship (AMF) Program will expand the number of fellows at accredited Addiction Medicine Fellowship and Addiction Psychiatric Fellowship programs to work in underserved, community-based settings that integrate behavioral and primary care services.

HRSA plans to fund an estimated 25 eligible grantees up to $800,000 annually over a five-year period of performance to foster robust community-based clinical training of addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry physicians to provide opioid and other substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services.
