International Overdose Awareness Day:
August 31st, 2017
Every day, 144 people die of an accidental drug overdose. Let’s do our part to prevent more loss and suffering. Tomorrow, on International Overdose Awareness Day (OAD), August 31st, you can help usprevent more overdoses from occurring by spreading awareness and ending the stigma.

Here’s how you can get involved:
• Share an image and sample posts on social media to help spread awareness about OAD.
• In addition to calling 911 for help if someone is overdosing, learn the signs of an overdose and how to administer naloxone.
Together, we’ve made great progress on changing the conversation around addiction. Thank you for helping to end the stigma. See you on social media tomorrow to help spread the word about International Overdose Awareness Day.
