Anthony Marengo, recently named CEO at The River Source, has seen addiction from a variety of different angles. A graduate of a rehab program himself, he's personally benefitted from an individualized approach to treatment. After his own experience in rehab, he began a career working in various roles at different facilities in the addiction treatment industry.
Anthony's new position at The River Source comes after 15+ years in the industry, giving him the unique ability to see what works and what doesn't in addiction treatment.
Throughout his time working with clients struggling with substance addiction, he noticed a few statistics that stood out: on average, doctors, airline pilots, and court-mandated rehab participants tend to have more success in recovery.
Why is this?
The answer, as he explains here, is that rehab programs for these groups tend to demand a longer-than-average duration in treatment.
