The NAADAC 2020 Annual Conference: Learn, Connect, Succeed, was our biggest conference yet!

Over 1,300 attendees from all 50 states and 13 countries gathered together online to network, learn from some of the best trainers in the country, and earn up to 28 CEs. Thank you to those who joined and made this an amazing conference!

To those who attended, don't forget to get your CE certificates for the sessions you attended. For step-by-step instructions on how to obtain your CEs, please go to the NAADAC website.

Next week, NAADAC will release recordings of all educational sessions that took place during the Annual Conference so you can watch the sessions you missed. NAADAC will notify you when these recordings become available to view on demand.

When you get your swag boxes, please send us pictures of yourself in your conference t-shirt to Caitlin Corbett at ccorbett@naadac.org so we can put them in the #NAADAC2020 album!

To those who couldn't make it, don't worry! The next conference is only a year away! #NAADAC2021 will take place in Seattle-Bellevue, WA. Stay tuned for more information.

Congress Goes Purple for National Recovery Month
FacebookLinkedInTwitter
In honor of National Recovery MonthRepresentative David Trone (D-MD) organized a bipartisan awareness effort to recognize National Recovery Month in Congress.

Legislators held virtual and in-person events throughout September to elevate voices in recovery and held a Congressional Day of Action on September 16, where legislators lead the "Congress Goes Purple" initiative.

This initiative included legislators wearing purple in honor of National Recovery Month and taking to Twitter on September 16 to raise awareness on addiction and recovery. Representative Trone, along with eight other members of the House and Senate, created and shared a short video on social media to raise awareness, fight stigma, support recovery, and #EndTheAddictionCrisis.

In Memoriam
FacebookLinkedInTwitter
Every year during the Annual Conference, we honor the fellow addiction professionals that we have lost in the past year.

Because this year's Annual Conference was virtual, we are honoring these addiction professionals virtually. Visit the 2020 In Memoriam webpage to honor their lives and the wonderful work they did as addiction professionals.

If you would like to include your loved one and fellow addiction professional to our in memoriam, please send the name, credentials, state of practice, picture of your loved one and/or colleague who has passed away to ccorbett@naadac.org.

Attend the HRSA Virtual Job Fair on October 7!
FacebookLinkedInTwitter

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is holding a Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, from 6:45pm - 10:15pm ET.

HRSA’s Virtual Job Fairs connect healthcare sites with job-seeking primary care trainees and practicing clinicians. Medical, nursing, dental, and mental/behavioral health clinicians and trainees are invited to attend and learn about the hundreds of opportunities currently available in the behavioral health field.

During the fair, you will be able to talk with healthcare site representatives for about 15 minutes inside "virtual breakout rooms" to discuss their site, the communities they serve, and their current available positions. Before the fair, complete a clinician profile on the Health Workforce Connector so that interested healthcare sites can follow-up with you after the event.
