To our Foundry Family,
I want you to know that I appreciate your partnership, and during these days of uncertainty, I'm praying that the peace of God will cover you.
We know the situation is serious, especially considering we provide housing services for more than 300 men and women every night in our recovery programs. The Foundry is their Home Away from Home. Our posture during this time is to not panic but to be prepared.
Jesus reminds us, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”
For our program participants and staff in Birmingham, Bessemer, the Foundry Farm in Cullman, Pelham and Fairfield, we are taking precautions recommended by the CDC and leaders in our line of ministry to minimize exposure and implement rapid response measures.
Our responsibility is to provide a safe environment for those in our care. We have adjusted our programs to avoid large gatherings and public exposure. We have suspended all volunteer activities and have intensified our daily cleaning routines.
One way you can help ensure our services are less impacted during these times is to continue to donate your household items and clothing. You can set donations outside your home or on the curb, and we'll come and pick them up. Please call us for a donation pick up at 205-424-2400.
As we face this uncertainty together, we know there are men and women, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters who are still fighting their battle with addiction.
God is in control, and I am praying for you that the peace that passes understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
