Important Update!

Update for The Council of Southeast PA/PRO-ACT Recovery Community Center Programming

From: Jennifer King, Executive Director

An Update on Program Changes in Response to the COVID-19 Epidemic for The Council of Southeast PA/PRO-ACT as of March 16, 2020:

We will be closing our sites to in person client services, and most of our staff will be working remotely to continue to connect those we serve to the resources needed, and providing telephonic recovery support services and other services. We are currently working on several telephonic and group platforms to provide recovery support, and we will be sharing details about those shortly. We will continue to inform you of any and all resources as we launch them.

Our Information Line is a resource that can help answer your questions concerning alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; and provide information, support, referrals and advocacy. (800) 221-6333 Referral/Information Line 9a-5p M-F. And staff are also sharing that the Call PA Get Help Now 1-800-662-4357 (HELP) is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If someone is experiencing an emergency, please call 911.
To reach a program staff member, call 215.345.6644 and follow the prompts which should get the calls to the intended staff person.

We are following the recommended protocols and the precautions that have been set forth by the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health and encourage everyone in our community to do the same:
• Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
• Avoid touching your face when possible and wash your hands if you do touch your face.
• Clean surfaces frequently, including countertops, light switches, cell phones, remote controls, and other frequently touched items.
• Practice Social Distance by staying home except for essential outings, and maintain six feet of distance between people when on those outings.

Below are useful resources that The Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. has provided for us to share.

We appreciate your flexibility and patience in this matter, as the health and safety of our program participants, our staff, and our community is of the highest importance
