The NBCC Minority Fellowship Program Is Accepting Applications for the 2020 Academic Year!
 
Are you or someone you know working towards a Master's degree in the addiction field & committed to working with underserved populations?

The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Foundation and NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, are pleased to announce the 2020 application period for the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship Program for Addictions Counselors (NBCC MFP-AC).

This program is made possible by a grant awarded to the NBCC Foundation, in collaboration with NAADAC, by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program will administer up to 40 Master’s degree-level counseling fellowships of $15,000 for addictions counseling students, plus the travel expenses to participate in other program-related trainings.

What Fellows Receive:
  • Tuition stipends of up to $15,000;
  • Complimentary registration and travel expenses to attend the 2020 NAADAC Annual Conference and Hill Day in Washington, DC;
  • Complimentary registration and travel expenses to attend the NBCC Foundation’s Bridging the Gap Symposium in 2020 and in 2021;
  • 1-Year complimentary NAADAC membership, which grants access to NAADAC webinars & CE-earning opportunities, student malpractice & liability insurance, the NAADAC Career Center, and discounted NAADAC publications;
  • Training, professional development opportunities, and mentoring from professionals in the field;
  • The opportunity to help reduce health disparities and improve healthcare outcomes of minority & LGBT populations and transition age youth (ages 16-25); and
  • The prestige of being a part of the SAMHSA-funded Minority Fellowship Program!
