ADDICTION IS NOT YOUR FAULT

Romans 7:14-16 (ERV) 14 We know that the law is spiritual, but I am not. I am so human. Sin rules me as if I were its slave. 15 I don’t understand why I act the way I do. I don’t do the good I want to do, and I do the evil I hate. 16 And if I don’t want to do what I do, that means I agree that the law is good.

Addiction is not your Fault ! That is a Spiritual truth. Society tells us and treats addiction from a physical standpoint and this is the number one reason for such a low success rate and continued relapses. We treat addiction like trying to fix a flat tire with a band aid. Its not going to work no matter how many band aids you stick on that tire. This verse explains the way we feel once we are caught in addiction.I spent twenty plus years out there so I know the shame, guilt, fear, and depression were out of my control and sucking the life out of me. Learn this Spiritual truth and look at those who struggle from that view. Its not their fault! Spiritually they inherited the curse of Sin before birth. Stop labeling and start loving them the way we all deserved too be loved. What we are doing in treatment doesn't work .Change your perspective and put all your focus on the spiritual part of every person. Where the spirit of the Lord is ,there is liberty !
