Let's talk about steps to recovery homes. Why should you support this cause? Well, we provide a lot more than just a bed for our clients that come in with no money and many times no family support. We provide a safe clean environment, along with cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens, laundry soap, rides to meetings, other appointments, daily life skills classes, a way to defer costs by working for us and building job skills, a financial savings plan so our clients can build up enough money for the next step in their lives, transit bus passes, furniture to help when they get their own apartment, clothes when they come in, we make sure they have food, and we have possible scholarships.
We are honest with our clients and give them constructive criticism so they have a chance at living successfully, we strive to have an example driven staff, we do the things they are doing, we give discounted gym memberships, we hold them accountable, make them start to become self sufficient, have them learn how to be of service to their community, be responsible, we teach healthy communication, we love them as family, we take them to equine therapy, kayaking, segawying, yoga, camping, clean events, wildlife parks and much more.
Besides all of that, we also do educational and awareness outreach about addiction and mental health with days like Erase the Stigma and Roots Music Festival. We are always helping people in the community and are willing to collaborate and be a part of the solution. We have started a job development program where we can break down the barriers to employment when it comes to addiction.
Now clients can come in and work off their fees while building up the tools to become employable in a job they want to be in. This will help maximize the success rate for our clients and build a reliable workforce for our communities.
We would love for you to come to the office and talk to us about anything you want. We are an open book and will continue to stand up for what we believe in and assist the people that need it when and where we can. All of our small staff works constantly to assist others at core levels and make our community a healthier place for us all to live. We sure could use your support and encourage you to come to our 5th Annual Dinner for Hope Fundraiser to see what we are doing while having an amazing night out in Sedona Arizona.
