Congress must increase access to non-opioid medication for pain management Currently there are too few non-opioid options for pain management and too little insurance coverage for the few options that do exist. Having access to a non-opioid option is critically important to the more than 20 million Americans in recovery and those who may want to avoid opioids for other reasons, including a genetic predisposition to addiction.
The Non-Opioids Prevent Addiction in the Nation (NOPAIN) Act (H.R. 5172/S. 3067) would increase access to non-opioid choices for the millions of Americans who undergo surgical procedures every year and help to reduce the number of unneeded prescription opioids lingering in people’s medicine cabinets.
Please join us in telling Congress to pass this important legislation. Go to the Voices for Non-Opioid Choices Action Center to make your voice heard.
