This week, Tessie Castillo busted some "fake news" that reported people are getting together, intentionally overdosing and then reviving each other with Narcan. Readers commented that this sort of mass-marketed hysteria is counter productive.

Terrific article laying bare one of societies ongoing hypocrisies! Thank you for pointing out positive changes that we all can choose to make Ms. Castillo!
One point I'd like to add is that the 'fake news' that the prejudices against drug users produces are all made without first hand accounts thus rendering them shoddy journalism as well as consuming resources and creating hysteria which prevents those resources going to truly effective actions. The US needs less blaming and hating and more thoughtful and proven actions around drug use...
