July Is Minority Mental Health Month
FacebookLinkedInTwitter
July was designated as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month in 2008 to bring awareness to the unique struggles that underrepresented groups face in regard to mental illness across the country.

According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, more than one in four adults living with serious mental health problems also has a substance use problem. In honor of Minority Mental Health Month, NAADAC welcomes you to learn more about treating and supporting those with mental health problems and substance use disorders with the below resources.

NAADAC offers over a dozen on-demand webinars regarding substance use disorder treatment for both minority populations and individuals with co-occurring disorders. Watch them all for FREE on the NAADAC website.

The NAADAC 2019 Annual Conference in Orlando, FL on September 28 - October 3, 2019, will feature a co-occurring disorders track with six breakout sessions focusing on treatment and recovery for individuals with mental health disorders and substance use disorders. Register to attend the Annual Conference today!
