2018 Advocacy In Action Conference & Hill Day Wrap-Up
|
NAADAC 2018 Advocacy in Action Conference and Hill Day was a huge success!
Over 50 NAADAC members and other addiction professionals from across the country received up to date information on the state of the addiction workforce, the implications of the mid-term elections, the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, and a robust training on effective advocacy for meetings on Capitol Hill.
On November 13th, attendees gathered at Capitol Hill and conducted over a dozen meetings with Senators and Congresspeople. Advocates thanked representatives for their work on the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act and brought attention to the issues that were still of concern to addiction professionals and those in the country affected by substance use disorder.
Thank you to our Sponsor Seabrook for its generous support! |
