Help Teens Support Their Mental and Emotional Health

Teens are no strangers to stress. The good news is that they can learn to use healthy coping strategies to help build resilience in response to challenging circumstances and events.

In preparation for National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW), NIDA created an activity to help students support their mental health and find strategies to cope with stress. Nurturing My Mental and Emotional Health, aligned to National Health Education Standards, includes ideas that teens can practice right away to enhance their emotional wellbeing. This activity is designed to be delivered virtually, although it can be adapted for in-person classes.
