Use Naloxone to Reverse an Opioid Overdose


August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day, a global event that aims to raise awareness that overdose death is preventable and to reduce the stigma associated with drug-related death.

One way you can prevent a fatal opioid overdose is by carrying and using naloxone (also known by the brand name, Narcan). By carrying naloxone, you can potentially save someone’s life even before first responders arrive.
