About Lauren Hope
Lauren Hope is a woman on a mission to elevate the unspoken, unheard stories of others. As a former television reporter, Hope knows the power of storytelling to influence others and create real change. She lost everything after a suicide attempt in 2014. Homeless and unemployed, Hope started sharing her story on her blog Good Girl Chronicles. It opened the door for her to become a story brand consultant, publicist, mental health advocate, speaker, and Registered Peer Recovery Specialist. She also uses her magnetic form of storytelling as the host and founder of Spark of Hope Storytelling Night. Lauren graduated from Regent University with a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications. She is a board member of the Virginia Chapter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and the Lived Experience Committee of the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. One day, she hopes to complete and publish a memoir of her journey and travel the country with her message. She currently lives in Chesapeake, Virginia. When she is not working, she enjoys playing with her emotional support animal, Boo and reading. Lauren is also a Brave Alum Storyteller (Arlington 2018) and Producer (Stories from Home - Hampton Roads 2020). |
