Hey folks - Here I am in one of my favorite places - by the wood stove in my home. Hard to believe November is coming to an end with snow and mighty cold temperatures already upon us. But the cold doesn’t slow us down here at PDA. This past month we held technical assistance calls with all of the CommonGround Decision Support Centers we visited in PA in October.
Additionally, a new controlled study was published in Psychiatric Services on CommonGround and findings included: “…new evidence that shared decision-making tools may promote ongoing mental health treatment engagement for individuals with serious mental illness and improved antipsychotic medication adherence for those with schizophrenia”. As we approach the holidays, I urge us all to hang-in there, practice our Personal Medicine and be grateful for the little things and all the goodness that surrounds us.
