JUNE 2021 THANK YOU The children's ministry at the God Will Provide church would like to thank the LCC for their help during the annual kids camp! The men's center prepared and cleaned the camp location for it to be safe and comfortable for the children and staff. The women's center helped children with different creative stations and other hands on games/activities! It was a blessing to witness the unity between the GWP and LCC staff as they worked together! "We were beyond blessed with the LCC staff this year at our annual kids camp! It took a lot of commitment and strength to be constantly helping the children in all their needs. It was a great lesson to learn, no matter the age, to serve one another like Jesus did. The LCC staff/students really out did themselves and we are blessed to be part of their testimony. May their hearts always be open to serve, even in the little things. There is so much information to learn when it comes to repairs and construction. Every time the students are working on their newest projects, they are able to use critical thinking and apply the knowledge they were taught at their previous projects. We have noticed that with this program the men are able to embrace their new skills and become more confident in themselves as future leaders.  Pictured above: The students were given this project and were instructed to remodel the bathroom. They did demolition, general repairs to the frame, installed the bathtub and finally put in the tile from scratch! The bathroom has been completed and is ready for use! The tile work is a good example of our lives. We sometimes do not have a full picture of our lives. Sin, addiction, depression, temptations and even thoughts of suicide take over our lives and shatter our hearts. There is no hope, no freedom and our lives seem to have shattered into many pieces. When we come to Jesus, He starts to collect all those pieces one by one. He makes us whole and puts a brand new hope into our lives. He shines the light into our path and leads us to many blessings that we never deserved. He creates a beautiful testimony that serves others and may help someone find hope as well.  COOKING When coming to the program, our students learn cooking skills and how to handle produce. The students also prepare daily breakfast and dinner meals for the men's center by cooking from scratch. (The women's center, Multicultural Cuisine, prepare them meals for lunch.) We are grateful to the staff members who have been teaching students proper nutrition and cooking safety measures. The skills they obtain can be applied into their personal lives after they graduate the program.  Renovating the men's center office. The carpet floors and the countertops were replaced with better and durable material. We love to see the LCC students and staff use their skills and talents for the greater good. They now have an organized, clean, and comfortable office to work, make plans or have meetings.  A transformational journey through drug and alcohol addiction. ABOUT US Life Change Center (LCC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing a cost-free, residential, nine-18 month program that welcomes adults 18 years-of-age and older. LCC shows our students’ God’s love while providing 24/7 support through their detox and withdrawal periods. Here they are provided with mentorship and guidance to help learn life skills; and, crisis management to transform them into productive men and women of our community. The LCC success rate, within our first two years of serving this community (2016-2018), has shown 81% of our students succeed and graduate from the program.
