💫 Healing Hurts from Our Parents

It’s one thing to be hurt by a bystander or acquaintance, but when it’s someone that is meant to love you, keep you safe, and teach you love and wisdom, it changes us.

Nobody is perfect, not even our parents. However, there is a point when imperfection becomes destructive, taking away from our own coping mechanisms and leading to our own destructive behaviors.

So, how do we heal these hurts from our parents and begin to create an assemblance of life that reflects it?

Growing up in a divorced household, Desiree moved to New Mexico as a child after her parents split up. With childhood trauma from an abusive step Mom, in Junior high she began partying with friends.
