NDAFW: Reaching and Supporting Youth

2020 was a difficult year. Teens may be seeking coping mechanisms to handle the increased stress that has come with many changes and challenges in their daily lives. Teens also need information and resources and to develop the necessary skills to make informed decisions about their health.

That’s why National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW) is so important.

NDAFW is a national health observance that links students with science to learn the facts about drugs and alcohol. To help spread the word, communities across the United States and around the world participate in activities and host events—now virtually—during NDAFW.

NIDA provides free materials to help teens and adults plan events for their communities that SHATTER THE MYTHS® about substance use.

NDAFW 2021 will take place March 22‒28. We hope you plan to join us. Check out these ideas to get you started
