STEP WORK 10/2/20 STEP 5

October 2 ,2020
Life Transformation With Spiritual Support From Scripture And The 12 Steps

1 Timothy 1:5
But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

Step 5-  Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

A person with a broken heart is going to break people. Another words the pain we carry from our past will render us unable to love others perfectly. Look at the verse ! Pure heart ! A heart polluted with shame, regret, fear, anger, and many other things is not pure , it is polluted  . This in turns poisons the conscience and and the mind making it impossible to love yourself and others perfectly, or be at peace with God in good conscience. Living life in this state makes us liars ! We pretend everything is okay ruining every chance at having perfect love for others or having sincere faith in God . What the verse is telling us is  work step five out with God first because He can give us the humility to admit where we have been wrong. Coming clean with God will show Him you are ready to have Him remove the pollution that stops you from sharing perfect love for yourself and others. This step with Gods help lifts the burdens of the past that have held you down. People have stated its like a weight has been lifted off my back ! Humility and Honesty will set you free !

Proverbs 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

The River Source CEO, Anthony Marengo: Making a Commitment to Recovery

Meet The River Source's CEO, Anthony Marengo

Anthony Marengo, recently named CEO at The River Source, has seen addiction from a variety of different angles. A graduate of a rehab program himself, he's personally benefitted from an individualized approach to treatment. After his own experience in rehab, he began a career working in various roles at different facilities in the addiction treatment industry.

Anthony's new position at The River Source comes after 15+ years in the industry, giving him the unique ability to see what works and what doesn't in addiction treatment.

Throughout his time working with clients struggling with substance addiction, he noticed a few statistics that stood out: on average, doctors, airline pilots, and court-mandated rehab participants tend to have more success in recovery.

Why is this?
The answer, as he explains here, is that rehab programs for these groups tend to demand a longer-than-average duration in treatment.

Click the button below to read our interview with Anthony Marengo, and learn more about how The River Source is proud to make a commitment to treatment that doesn't take shortcuts.

This is the belief that served as the foundation for our Reclaim-120 Program, and it's why The River Source is regarded as one the premier addiction recovery centers in Arizona and throughout the Southwest.
