Taking Stigma Out of Recovery Language - A Virtual Workshop
Join PRO-ACT as we learn to fight the stigma surrounding substance use disorder using something so simple - our words! This workshop will cover the history of stigma and how we can adjust the language we use every day to become more recovery friendly.

Adventures in Recovery is back!
Ready to get outdoors and socializing again? PRO-ACT is hosting an Adventures in Recovery Hike at the Schuykill River Trail on Saturday, March 27th. This is a beginner, flat hike that begins in Norristown, PA. If you are interested in joining us, contact Claudia Herman, Recovery Programs Specialist, at cherman@councilsepa.org for all the details!
Stress Off Your Chest
Our Monday night program is a topic discussion group for men that supports all pathways to recovery. This group is facilitated by Marcus, a Certified Recovery Specialist at the MCRCC. Anyone interested can join us on Mondays but you can also contact Marcus with questions at mplatco@councilsepa.org

In Mary Ozanic's search for serenity in her recovery, she discovered a job that truly makes her happy and gives her purpose. It was a similar search – one for peace and fortitude years within her recovery – that led her to Face It TOGETHER.

Q: How do I deal with my loved one's bad behaviors like lying or manipulating? 
 

A: It's critical to set healthy boundaries within the relationship. Ultimately, you need to protect yourself and your wellbeing. Clearly explain the standards you need them to meet and then be sure to follow through.
