"Giving a Voice to Grief: Loudoun Teen Speaks Out In This Is My Brave" ~Loudoun Now
"That was a tough lesson for 15-year-old Payton Arnett as she dealt with intense grief during her beloved grandfather’s illness and death from pancreatic cancer last year. Payton, a sophomore at Woodgrove High School in Purcellville, is a featured speaker in a new teen show from the national nonprofit This Is My Brave that airs this month.

'The journey it took for me to get to the place where I am now, I feel like there are so many people that go through the same things or have that process of ‘I need to be that positive person all the time,'" she said. “You have to take the time to grieve, whether it’s breaking down and crying or feeling angry or frustrated or just not talking to anyone. You have to do that or you can’t be there in the way you want to.'" (Read more)

Message from the Founder

Dear Partner,

We go to press tomorrow with our 4th Quarter edition of Victorious Living. I can't wait for you to read these life-changing testimonies of God's faithfulness to show up and show off in our lives. An image of our new cover is displayed above.

Since the inception of our ministry, God has been so faithful to meet every financial need. But that's not to say He doesn't often wait until the last minute to provide what we need to cover our expenses.  And right now is one of those times.

Perhaps God would have you be a part of helping meet our urgent need?

We need $15,000 by Friday to go to press, and we need $7,000 the following week for shipping costs. I believe God will meet these needs through you and other faithful partners, and through unexpected ways. He is always surprising me.

If you feel led to help us meet this urgent need, you can give online by clicking this link.

Since COVID-19 quarantines were instituted in the prison system, the demand for our magazine has increased exponentially, which has resulted in increased printing and shipping expenses. Here are a highlights from the last few months:

  • 46 new facilities have been added to our shipping manifest to directly receive cases of VL.
  • VL Magazine is being distributed into over 1500 other facilities through key partnerships. We ship magazines to our partners who in turn include our publication in their shipments to prisons across America.
  • All past magazine issues of VL are now on prison tablet systems enabling us to reach 100,000 more inmates.
  • Our magazine has expanded from 40 pages to 64 pages, and is now bilingual. 32% of inmates are Hispanic. We can now reach this demographic group with the Gospel—100,000s of them!
  • We now have a Hispanic team in place that is answering Spanish speaking inmate's correspondence. This team assists our Prison Correspondence Team in answering the letters of 1000s of inmates who write to us testifying to the impact VL Mag had on their lives.

Please pray regarding helping us print and distribute our 4th Quarter Edition of Victorious Living. Remember, every $1 you give sends in a magazine to a prison facility and impacts multiple lives for years to come.

Thank you for your support and for your prayers!

SIncerely,

Kristiblack-1

Ministry Impact

Incarceration is a journey our family never thought we'd walk, and at times knowing my husband is behind prison bars is too much to bear. When I called the Victorious Living's team, I was met with compassion and love. Connecting with people who understand our family's situation has encouraged my heart and given me the strength and support I need to face the uncertainty of each day. I am a part of the VL family now, and I look forward to connecting other families who are walking through incarceration to find support through VL, too! - Denise

Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself.
