Description: More attention is being paid to addiction policy issues than ever before. As NAADAC members, it is our responsibility and in our best interest to have a role in shaping emerging policy, both in Washington, D.C. and in our state capitols. While much attention is being paid to the national conversation, most of what influences a provider’s day to day operation occur at the state level. Join us to learn how YOU can make a difference for addiction professionals in your state!

Presenters: Michael Kemp, NCACI, ICS, CSAC, CSW, and Sherri Layton MBA, LCDC, CCS.

Michael Kemp, NCACI, ICS, CSAC, CSW, is the Director of Peer Recovery Services at Oregon State Hospital – Salem. Kemp has been a NAADAC member since 1995 and serves as co-chair of NAADAC’s Public Policy Committee.
Sherri Layton MBA, LCDC, CCS, began working in the addiction treatment field in 1977 and has worked for La Hacienda Treatment Center since 1992. She is co-chair of NAADAC’s Public Policy Committee and has served on that committee since 2008.
