Approximately 85 million Americans say they have been affected a great deal by addiction. It crosses all social and economic boundaries, yet we do not discuss addiction's devastating reach or the lack of resources to address it.

The time is now to properly define and treat addiction as a public health crisis. We have a goal of 1,000 signatures in support of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA, or Bill numbers S.524/H.R.953). We will deliver these signatures to Capitol Hill on October 5, the day after the UNITE to Face Addiction rally.

What is CARA?
CARA addresses the devastating issue of addiction with specific, positive steps:
  • Effective treatment alternatives to incarceration
  • Implementation of naloxone trainings for law enforcement so that more lives can be saved from opiate overdoses
  • Expanding programs that provide screening, early intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) to adolescents and young adults
  • Evidence-based opioid and heroin treatment and intervention programs, gaining more access to medication-assisted treatment
  • Comprehensive prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) to track the dispensing of opioids
Millions are angry, frustrated and feel no one recognizes the reality and the fear that our children could die. Along with the parents and families who are facing, or have faced, substance abuse disorders with their teen and young adults, we demand leadership, hope and the chance to become part of the solution.

Every signature is vital, as we will share the petition and your voice with legislators on October 5.

Thank you for your support.

September 1 CHP 52 v 2 TWELVE STEPPING WITH STRENGTH FROM THE PSALM

All day long you plot destruction .Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor; your an expert at telling lies .
(GODS BIG BOOK)

STEP 6 - Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

Well are you ready ! I struggle with this one all day everyday ! God takes it ,and I take it right back and if you don't do what I want then their will be hell to pay . My mouth can be one of the most destructive forces on this planet. It takes alot of discipline and training to think before you speak. So before you rip someone to shreds today say a little prayer before you speak .

Proverb 18 v 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,And those who love it will eat its fruit.
