Ask the President to Declare a National State of Emergency The time is now. The White House stated on August 10th, at the recommendation of the President's Commission on the Opioid Crisis, that it would declare a national state of emergency. Two months have passed and the official paperwork has not yet been signed. Meanwhile, in the past 60 days, another 8,640 people have died due to an accidental drug overdose. Previous national emergencies have involved far fewer deaths. H1N1, or swine flu, which was declared a national emergency in 2009, was responsible for killing 1,000 people in a year. In contrast, 1,000 people are dying every WEEK due to an accidental drug overdose, in large part due to the opioid epidemic.   Join us in urging the White House to make the declaration official. Doing so will free up additional disaster relief funds that can be accessed at the state level and can provide temporary waivers for Medicaid coverage for drug treatment. Step 5: Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

Coming clean is a must in Recovery! Honesty will open your heart and release all the pain that makes you Spiritually and physically sick. Self-medicating is a symptom of guilt and regret!The problem is there is not enough alcohol or drugs in the world to take away the weight of guilt. Running hiding and trying to numb it only gives it strength! True freedom will come when you realize you are lost in your rebellion and your conscience is your moral compass uses the pain of guilt to get you to realize your life is going in the wrong direction. True success in recovery comes from the surrender of self and a fearless open Heart will set you free.
