September is Suicide Prevention Month🎗

What does Suicide Prevention Month mean to you?

This week marks the start of Suicide Prevention Month, a month to honor the importance of creating a world without suicide. This Is My Brave believes that ending the stigma around conversations about suicide is the first step to suicide prevention. We encourage you to have candid conversations with your loved ones over the next month about suicide prevention.

If suicide has touched your life, we want to offer an opportunity to share your story because we know that doing so can be incredibly beneficial in the healing process for you and the greater community.

Brave TV Season 2, Episode 4

August 2021’s episode of BraveTV is in honor of Overdose Awareness Day recognized on August 31st. Started in 2001, Overdose Awareness Day aims to spark conversations around overdose prevention and call for action on updating drug policies. In this episode, BraveTV Host Lauren Hope (Arlington 2018 / Hampton Roads 2020) speaks with Ty Cardaci (Hampton Roads 2020) and Isaac Sandidge (St. Louis 2020).

Calling All Boston High School Students!

We are seeking high school student storytellers in the Boston area with a 5-minute story to share about Teen Mental Health via poetry, original music, comedy, essay or other artistic expression.

*This Is My Brave - High School Edition in Boston will be a live stage performance on Nov. 19, 2021.
