Clinical Supervision: An Overview of Functions, Processes, and Methodology is a comprehensive manual developed as a resource for addiction-focused professionals who work as clinical supervisors or aspire to become clinical supervisors.

Newly updated in 2019, this manual is intended to be a resource for professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of the functions, processes, methodology, and best practices in clinical supervision.

The manual addresses historical perspectives, evidence-based practices, and contemporary approaches. Also addressed are clinical supervision strategies in diverse settings, the structure of clinical supervision, as well as legal and ethical issues including an ethical decision-making model. This manual also covers the use of technology in clinical supervision and how to successfully protect patient privacy while using technology.
