(Updated) Serve Those in Need, Give Hope This Holiday Season

Season of Giving

Serving those in need this holiday season.

Summer is coming to a close and we are gearing up for the busiest and most exciting time of the year here at The Foundry. The holiday season is a special time for us and those we serve.

As you begin to plan for the holidays with your family, we invite you to make plans to volunteer with our Foundry Family! We have three incredible opportunities for you to bring hope to those in need this holiday season.

Boxes of Hope

Share the love of Christ to 120 disabled and elderly individuals in Bessemer by sponsoring a complete Thanksgiving meal. Each meal will be lovingly prepared in our kitchen and delivered to the residents at Jess Lanier Manor in Bessemer.

Door to Door Delivery

Deliver Boxes of Hope to neighbors in need just in time for Thanksgiving. Volunteers will gift residents of Jess Lanier a hot Thanksgiving meal generously provided by sponsors.

Giving Christmas

This Christmas, you can bring hope to someone seeking healing from addiction by sponsoring items necessary for their recovery. Individuals entering our program need items that will allow them to fully take advantage of the recovery being offered to them. Giving Christmas enables The Foundry to provide these items to participants.

ADDICTION IS NOT YOUR FAULT 9/25/19

September 25 , 2019 TRANSFORMATION THROUGH SPIRITUAL TRUTH FROM SCRIPTURE AND THE TWELVE STEPS TODAY STEP 6

Step 6: Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. (World Big Book)

Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
(GODS BIG BOOK)

If you are not addressing your spiritual self it will leave you sober just the way you were. Let me explain ! Intoxicated or not your thinking will be the same if your not learning about your inner man. We need a complete 360 in our lives and the renewal starts when we recognize we are ignorant when it comes to knowing our selves Spiritually. Gods way is the only way ! Complete wholeness and transformation of physical self can only be accomplished by learning who we are and were meant to be Spiritually.

By Joseph Dickerson/Recovery Connections Network Psalm 103 v 3- He forgives all my sins and Heals all my diseases! Jesus Christ has already won your war with addiction!Matthew 8 v 17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.”

$2.25 to provide a meal? Yes!

Joseph,

For those who are homeless instead of spending Thanksgiving with loved ones, they spend this day on the streets. Trapped in the vicious cycle of homelessness for more than 20 years, our guest Bennett slept on park benches and moved in and out of shelters. Thanks to friends like you, Bennett found refuge at Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission’s emergency
shelter when he had no place to go.
Today, he is making strides toward living a better life! He is in recovery and works part-time.
Help men like Bennett enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving dinner surrounded by people who care. Come alongside your hurting neighbors and provide them with a hearty Thanksgiving meal for only $2.25! Your donation will make a difference in the lives of men like Bennett each and every day.

Yours in Christ's Service,

Jeremy Montgomery

Lives are RESHAPED at The Foundry Ministries 🎉

Judd Drake, a reshaped life

Before Judd Drake came to The Foundry Ministries, his life was, as he put it, “[a] total life of destruction.” Judd was addicted to drugs and sold them as well, to the point of making a full-time job of it. “I had no purpose in life, really,” he said.
He was sober for four years before. . .

Families are counting on you

Help us raise $10,000 to support those who need us most.

Dear Joseph,

We’re just a few weeks away from the end of our Recovery Month Challenge, and we need your help to support families who need us most.

Make your donation today and remind your family and friends that their gifts ensure we can continue to provide free resources to parents who are addressing their loved one’s substance use.

We bring together trained volunteer coaches, parents who have ‘been there’ and struggled with a child’s addiction, with others in need of peer-to-peer support. Our services also include access to trained and caring specialists through our Parent Helpline, as well as online resources. Every donation helps provide families a compassionate and understanding community to support them along their journey.

Without you, our work would not be possible. Thank you for helping us reach our goal to ensure that all families have access to quality support they so desperately need.
