YMDC 5K: April 6
Lace up your running shoes for the 4th Annual YMDC 5K on April 6, 2019 at Sequoyah Hills Park. This race benefits MDC's Youth Metro Drug Coalition's scholarship program and their activities throughout the school year.
Youth Metro Drug Coalition consists of sophomore, junior and senior high school students across Knox County high schools who have a personal connection to addiction or a passion for substance abuse prevention.

Last day to sign up before race day is Wednesday, April 3!

SBIRT Training: April 12
On April 12, Metro Drug Coalition will be hosting an SBIRT Training. This training will equip providers, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents and office managers to: understand the disease process of addiction, recognize the risk factors and causes of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, understand the process of SBIRT (an evidence-based screening tool) to assess risk for substance abuse in patients, and learn ways to implement and administer brief interventions.
