💫 Healing Hurts from Our Parents

It’s one thing to be hurt by a bystander or acquaintance, but when it’s someone that is meant to love you, keep you safe, and teach you love and wisdom, it changes us.

Nobody is perfect, not even our parents. However, there is a point when imperfection becomes destructive, taking away from our own coping mechanisms and leading to our own destructive behaviors.

So, how do we heal these hurts from our parents and begin to create an assemblance of life that reflects it?

Watch this week's powerful Recovery Coaching call.

💬 Desiree's Story

Growing up in a divorced household, Desiree moved to New Mexico as a child after her parents split up. With childhood trauma from an abusive step Mom, in Junior high she began partying with friends.

Listen to the rest of Desiree's story.

🎙️Brilliantly Resilient with Mary Fran Bontempo

Mary Fran Bontempo is an award-winning author and 2-time TEDx speaker who teaches audiences how to uncover their brilliance and resilience 15 minutes at a time.

Although not in recovery herself, she watched for years as her son David struggled with addiction. She saw the early warning signs, but like many parents, she justified what was happening.

Listen on your favorite streaming app.
