A Letter to COVID-19
By Beth Starck

Dear COVID 19, When you came into our lives, I wasn’t devastated. I looked at you like many did; time to slow down, time to allow the planet to heal, and time regroup and refocus. But now that you have been with us for endless months, I would politely like to ask you to leave. Read more.
The Feeling Always Passes
By Laurel Edinburgh

In 1994 while pregnant with my first child, I woke up from a dream where I felt I was being cut. It was not a dream where I felt my baby was being cut out of me, it was that I was being cut all over my body. I was not someone who had ever cut or self harmed but the thoughts of being cut soon overwhelmed me. Read more.

This Is My Brave Theme Song Competition
Application deadline extended until August 31st
This Is My Brave is in search of a singer/songwriter to create an upbeat, original theme song for the organization. This song has the potential to be the opening song to our storytelling shows, just as the Sara Bareilles song "Brave" was our unofficial theme song for the past 6 years. It needs to be as inspiring, uplifting, and powerful as our storytellers, full of the hopeful message that recovery is possible and you are never alone.

The event will be held in Sioux Falls at Ransom Church, but anyone can join remotely via Zoom.

We Welcome Your Feedback

How It Helps

This is an opportunity for important supporters like you to give feedback on the way we communicate our mission and vision. This survey is part of a nationwide research study for organizations who provide urgent help and long-term support for neighbors in need.

Your anonymous participation will help us understand what you, and other supporters, value most. Take the survey today:
